Q. What kinds of materials are to be used in the Competition?
A. There are no specific restrictions, however, the Competitors are invited to consider the environmental effects of the materials used in their work.
Q. In which format should I send my entry?
A. Your entry should be a PDF file, horizontal A3 or tabloid-size, max. 10 pages.
Q. Can existing playground equipment be used, either produced by Lappet or some other manufacturers?
A. Existing Playground Equipment cannot be used. All competing works are required to be originals.
Q. Can one participate by designing equipment for play?
A. Yes. There are two Categories: the Category for Playground Areas and the Category for Playground Equipment. Participants can submit their works for both or just one of the Categories. The competition work may also include a plan with a joint proposal for both.
Q. Can any other language than English be used in the submission of the Competition work?
A. Unfortunately this competition can only be participated in English.
However, because the highly professional Judges are able to read specialist drawings and plans, it is likely that also works containing minimal amount of verbal explanation will be understood .
Q. Can groups participate? Are there any limitations to the size of the groups?
A. Everyone is welcome. Every group is welcome. There are no limitations to the size of the participating groups. If the winning work is submitted by a group, the group is responsible for the division of the Prize.
Q. Will the winning work be implemented or realized?
A. Lappset's intention is to implement the winning work in one or even several European countries. However, a number of limitations, such as restrictions, laws and various permits may hinder, delay or prevent this intention.
Q. Can I register as a participant?
A. There are no pre-required enrolments. Each participant registers as a Competitor while submitting the work. Participants are recommended to join our e-mail info list.
Q. If I register into the e-mail info list, do I automatically register as a Participant?
A. No. There is no required registration prior to the submission of the competing work. This e-mail info list is open to all those interested in this competition. The Competition registration takes place when the participants submit their work to the competition.
